What Are The Chances Of An HIV Infection Post An Unprotected Oral Sex?

default
Posted on Sat, 24 Sep 2016
Question: Hello Doctor,

Im 34 m, married. I had unprotected oral sex (BJ) from a CSW in xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 4 days back. Apart from this I did not have sexual intercourse with her either vaginal or anal. I have french kissed her for 5 mins and sucked nipples for 2 mins (No secretions came out). For briefly 30 seconds, I touched her clitoris with my right middle finger (Without cuts). Later she gave me a hand job and I ejaculated on my belly, later wiped it with a clean cloth. Can I get HIV from Oral blow job? I have not seen any blood in her mouth or vaginal fluid near me as the vagina was far away from my body. I consulted 3 doctors in Kl, all of them said, dont worry, ur anxious, Oral BJ will not transmit HIV. I also had one counseling session where I described the same and they too are of the opinion that I do not even need testing. Please clarify if I may get HIV? I am very much annoyed and not sleeping.

Brief Answer:
I think your doctors are right

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using health care magic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

Similar to other doctors whom you consulted I am of the opinion that there is almost negligible risk which is like one in 1000 provided she was hiv positive.

I think you need to stop worrying and continue counselling session to control anxiety and insomnia.

I hope this helps you.
If you have more questions feel free to write back to me.
Thanks and regards.

Thanks Doctor,

I have few more queries on this?

I have never been involved in such situation, this is the first time this has happened to me.

If the CSW is HIV positive and she sucks my cock for 5 minutes, does the HIV transmit? I donot have cuts on my penis (Uncircumcised) . But I have not observed any blood in her mouth?? If it were to be, what could be the chances?

I have french kissed the girl for 2 mins after her blow job? Will this transmit?

One of the doctors told me If you want to get tested, please go ahead for your satisfaction.

I recently visited a STD specialist who examined my genitals and said it was normal as I am on antibiotics now.

Please tell me with your experience , any case like me with unprotected BJ only. Please tell me if I need HIV testing in this regard. ?

Brief Answer:
You can get tested for satisfaction only

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for reverting back to me.

From my experience I feel you do not need any testing as there was no blood or mixing of biological fluids during the interaction.

Even if you want you can proceed with testing as it is available on most centres.

In case there was blood or anything the ridk would be in one in 50 to one 100.

I hope this assists you further.
Thanks and regards.
