Brief Answer:
Semen can transmit infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I am Dr.Barani and I am pleased to assist you.

Semen can transmit bacterial infection like gonorrhea and chlamydia.
If the partner is infected and if you swallow his semen, there are chances you may get infected as well.

I hope that answers your query.
Let me know if you have any more questions.

I have read that oral is low risk and if there was only a small amount of semen would this reduce the risk ? and if there would be infection ? what is the meds that would treat this ? thank you again

Answer given below

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Yes, the risk is low.
But only if the partner is already infected, there would any chance of spread of infection.
The medication depends on what infection you have acquired.
A course of doxycycline may help.
