What Are The Chances Of HIV Transmission Through Oral Sex?

default
Posted on Thu, 20 Nov 2014
Question: I am a 33 old male I have performed oral sex on 6 female partners throughout the summer what are the chances of getting HIV from performing oral sex on women? Second last time I had sex has been 9/15/14 ten days after my last possible exposure I had P24 antigen combo test which came back negative. I also had RNA qualitative test done 23 days after my final exposure (9/15/14) which also came back negative. I waited 38 days after my final exposure took another P24 antigen combo test which also came back negative. Based on the tests I took can I be 100 percent sure I am HIV free? Do I need more tests done? Or the tests I took are conclusive?

Brief Answer:
You don't have HIV.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney.
I understand your concern.
There are no definitive chances or percentage which I can share with you for transmission of HIV through oral sex, that through with 6 different partners.
Now since your HIV RNA analysis and P24 antigen are Normal, you can be sure that you don't have HIV at present.
I would sincerely advise you not to repeat these activities further.
If you have any further query please ask me.
