Brief Answer:
There is almost nil chances of HIV, get tested for peace of mind

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX.
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.

1. Since you had protected sex with escort therefore chances of HIV transmission are almost nil.

2. The upset stomach might be because of eating food that is not hygienic and the same might have happened to your girlfriend as she might be having hostel and outside food. For food poisoning the treatment is taking proper medicines after consulting a doctor and drinking adequate amounts of water and fresh juices and clean food.

3. The initial cough and cold is also likely to by due to changing weather and rains.

4. The symptoms resolved completely and you do not have any persisting signs of disease.

5. Considering the above factors, it is least likely that you both have HIV. However for peace of mind please get tested for HIV by 4th generation rapid testing after 30 days which tests for HIV 1 and 2 antibodies and p24 antigen. This is accurate if done after 30 days from exposure.

Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek

Brief Answer:
Please find details below

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX.
Thanks for writing back with an update.

1. Mild fever and weakness might be due to mild food poisoning which gets better in a day or two after starting treatment.

2. If she is having continuous fever and weakness with body aches then it might be important to get tested for typhoid infection which is also spread by food and water.

3. Right now she should be careful about the food and water intake and see that she drinks lots of water and eats clean food which is cooked in less oil. This has to be followed for at least 15 days.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek
