Brief Answer:
Need to first check whether consolidation has occurred

Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. You can have multiple benefits, but first it is important to know how long it has been since you have had the rod in, and also if the broken bone has consolidated enough for you to not require the rod anymore.

Could you let me know how long it has been since you have had the rod in?

Benefits of removing the rod include:

+Less chances of impingement
+Can work towards removing the scar tissue on the skin region
+Improved mobility in the given region
+Less chances of pain

I look forward to hearing from you in order to help you further.

Best wishes.
