Question: can IBS be cured?.....how much time will it take for me to regain health?.......is the current medication right?....

IBS is usually a persistent problem, which gets aggravated time to time. This will need treatment as and when you have symptoms. Colospa and amitryptaline are established medicines for IBS particularly if the symptoms predominantly are pain, and diarrhoea. These may not cure you but certainly may improve your symptoms.
