Dear XXXXXXX

Thanks for contacting Ayurveda with your health query, and before opting for simple Ayurvedic [home] medicines, do let me know about following concerns for better dietary regime and lifestyle modifications.

1. any exposure to air pollution [your habitat]?
2. any history of esophageal-reflux-disease/0000" >GERD [gastro esophageal reflux disease]?
3. weak immune system [getting recurrent infections or falling Ill]?
4. any associated symptoms apart from weight gain and wheezing [like:coughing, shortness of breath,fatigue, any chest pain or discomfort,blocked or runny nose]?
5. any associated secondary disease like [asthma,emphysema], diagnosed by your doctor?
6. any recent change in investigations like : Pulmonary function tests [PFT],
Pulse oximetry, Complete blood count [CBC], Chest CT scan {IF DONE}
7. Do revert back with clarifications from your side, so that effective management can be initiated.

PS
i. side effect of long term steroid medication is weight gain [please let me know the duration: since 17 years or recently]
ii. also because people with long standing chronic bronchitis suffer from [cor pulmonale] a heart condition which also results in weight gain due to edema collection [were you examined by your physician to rule out the same, through examination as well by EKG [electrokardiogram]?
iii. because bronchitis comes under COPD [chronic OBSTRUCTIVE pulmonary disease], thus it is treatable but not curable, thus home remedies which will lessen symptoms will be prescribed after going through your clarifications.
