Dear XXXXXXX

Your wife seems to have some kind of allergy. It may just be trivial and a passing phase or it could be a harbinger of some other illness since she also developed aches in the arm. For now lets assume that it`s only a passing phase. Give her an antihistaminic like allerga or cetrizine and let her apply some calamine lotion or betnovate ointment over itchy part for some soothing action. Since she has swelling of lips & if itching is unbearable a short course of steroids like prednisolone 20 mgm for 3 to 5 days will help. If she has noticed itching after contact with anything she should avoid contact with the substance. You may also deworm her after consulting her physician.

Is she also having symptoms like cough, breathing difficulty, running nose or sneezing? In view of swelling of lips, there is a remote chance that she may develop swelling in the throat and may have difficulty in breathing or swallowing. In that case you may have to rush her to the hospital.

If symptoms persist or if she develops any new symptoms, pl feel free to post them on XXXXXXX and i`ll try and answer them.
