Hi,

Thanks for your query.

Sudden appearance of pain and swelling in a joint or on a bone indicates there is an injury to the bone (Hair line fracture) or a ligament tear.

I would like to know some more details on the problem to understand better and opine you specifically.

Did you have any injury in the past ?
If you had an injury ,how was it treated ?
Have you taken any xrays of the affected ankle ?
Is the lump tender and soft ?

Anticipating your response.
Note: For further queries, consult a joint and bone specialist, an Orthopaedic surgeon. Book a Call now.
