Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
Neksium is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used for acidity. These PPI's are known to cause Vitamin B12 deficiency in long term use and that can cause memory issues.
So, this is the only probable way by which Neksium can cause dementia.
You can get your Vitamin B12 assay done and if it's low it supports the diagnosis.
Also get your thyroid profile done if not done yet.
