Brief Answer:
Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query and scanned reports.
To recapitulate: Male/61 - has 11 mm gall stone - deranged liver function tests showing raised AST, ALT and Alk Phosp (7/6/2016) - USG showing Gall stone and mild prostatomegaly (goes with age of 61) - blood sugar PP 154.8 (70-140) - tried Ayurvedic medicines - wants to know the type of surgeries available and wants to know the best one ...
My thoughts after reading the history and reading the reports:
- First of all, I would advise you to consult a Gastroenterologist to know the reasons of raised liver functions , repeat the liver function afresh and if still raised to go for further tests as advised by your Gastroenterologist which may be
ERCP or MRCP or Endoscopic Ultrasonography t find the cause if the LFT is still raised .
- Secondly to have review blood sugar levels: fasting PP, random, AbA1c and see whether he is a diabetic or not
- Medical Fitness.
- The best procedure is Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy done when the patient is fit and under optimal conditions.
The same procedure is done by using Robot but is costly and has not much advantage over the routine Laparoscopic Surgery done by an expert in the field.

I hope this answers your query and helps you in decision making.
Please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if if you feel that there is a gap of communication.

Thanks a lot Sir.

Ca you please explain this term in simple language "First of all, I would advise you to consult a Gastroenterologist to know the reasons of raised liver functions , repeat the liver function afresh and if still raised to go for further tests as advised by your Gastroenterologist which may be
ERCP or MRCP or Endoscopic Ultrasonography t find the cause if the LFT is still raised ."

What is this raised lever functions and LFT.

My father has already consulted a laparoscopic surgeon who has advised him to go for surgery. But nothing highlighted about this LFT, and raised sugar levels.

My father is not having any issues to diabetes. No diabetic history.

Brief Answer:
Repeat the liver functions and blood sugar - post the reports

Detailed Answer:
Okay, I thought it is elucidate.
Liver functions are raised as you have posted in the reports.
Get a repeat test.
If still raised reason should be found out as explained above.
See the liver functions tests also called as LFT: AST, ALT and Alkaline phosphatase are raised - more than the higher limit.
On a safer side get these tests done again and post the reports.
If these are normal go ahead with Laparoscopic Surgery as there will be no need to worry about.

If the tests are still not normal, it is safer to find out the reasons and treat accordingly. If the tests are not normal get a second opinion of a Gastroenterologist and get the tests done if required.

I hope this explains. Please read the answers again and please let me know if there is some doubt.
