Brief Answer:
Wash all clothes and keep the child away from infected child.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Can understand your concerns.

Chicken pox spreads by skin contact. Usually the period of contact starts with the start of skin lesions and remain for 7 days.
Since, child was in contact with the other child with chicken pox, I think that there are very much chances that infection has already been acquired.
The precautions that you can take now is avoid contact with child with chicken pox and wash all clothes and bedding with warm water. No need to clean the floor.

I hope this will help you.
Take care.

Brief Answer:
Fever and fluid filled skin lesions

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for follow up query.

Symptoms of chicken pox are Fever, skin rash which occurs as fluid filled lesions (vesicles) all over the body. Itching is also seen. These vesicles come in groups.
Once the child has infection it gives lifelong immunity to most of children.

It is a treatable condition. Not so dangerous. If your child gets it, make sure he wont scratch it repeatedly.

Toys should also be washed with warm water.

Hope I have cleared your doubts.
Please feel free to ask further query if any.

Take care.
