Question: Hi Dr,
I'm 41 years old. A mother to 3 kids. I wanted to delay my period for religious reason for this month and start taking Primolut 2 tablets 4 days before my scheduled period. But my period came 2 days earlier instead! I then continued taking Primolut 3 tablets daily and at the sanw time started Dicynone 500 of 3 tablets daily to stop the period as advised by the pharmacist. After 5 days the period is still there and no sign of stopping. It's very light and seems dragging. Looks like this going to last more than 7 days which is my usual period duration.

Start taking Primolut 3 tablets:24/12

Still on them until tuday 29/12

2. I only have 3 days to ensure my period totally stop before i can start my religious ritual? What do i do to stop the period asap?

1. Dicynone is used to help control heavy menstrual bleeding, it would not work on a light dragging period caused by Primolut.
2. No if you stop the drugs too, there is no way to ensure that the bleeding will stop in 3 days, but if you continue the drugs, spotting is likely to continue. A risk to take is continuation of the 2 drugs in the hope that bleeding will be controlled, but once you stop, you will again have spotting with bleeding.
3. No home remedies work.
