Brief Answer:
This drug can help in heroin detox but is a prescription drug.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to HCM.

I have read your query and can understand your concerns.

Withdrawal from heroin can be very painful and distressing.

Nucynta-ER contains tapentadol which is an opioid agonist, that is, it has actions similar to heroin.

It has been determined to be as abusable as other opioid preparations like morphine and heroin.

It would only be available with the prescription of a doctor.
And the doctors are advised to frequently monitor patients for signs of tapentadol abuse, particularly in clients who have a history of drug abuse.

In short, this drug can help in withdrawal from heroin but it itself has potential for abuse and dependence.

You must consult a nearest psychiatrist/addiction medicine specialist and discuss these issues. He will help you in heroin detoxification.

Never ever use such drugs on your own. This can prove life-threatening.

Hope this helps.

Feel free to ask further queries.

Thanks.
