Brief Answer:
Must be diabetic nephropathy

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your query.
You are a diabetic.
And considering your problem, at least for 5 years.
Diabetes will affect the kidneys- always.
So I am assuming that is whats starting to happen to you too.
The best way to control this is by making sure there is a good diabetes control.
The perfect sugar control will help reduce the albuminuria.
The other way is reducing the protein content in diet.
So avoid high protein diet like non veg diet.
Normal veg diet protein is acceptable, in moderation- like pulses.
If you are hypertensive, use of certain medication is favoured.
I hope that answers you.

Also, suggest meeting a nephrologist.
Kidney damage will be needed.

Best of luck.
Dr Mittal
