Posted on Fri, 24 Apr 2015
Question: So ive been addicted to vicodin and percocet for quite some time. I just added meth to it about 2 weeks ago. I was supppsed to go to a medical detox facility today but when I got there they said my withdrawl symptoms were not severe enough to admit me. I dont know what to do. What is the best natural way to detox off of these terrible drugs? What can I do to fight the cravings?

Brief Answer:
managing symptoms conservative

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and I understand your concern. Detoxification and stopping the offending agent is the utmost concern. With withdrawal symptoms not that severe it is a good news.

Methamphetamine is a stimulant drug. Stopping it will result in symptoms like paranoia , anxiety or depression. You will need an anxiolytics and antidepressant for that. The key is to fight the symptoms here.

As far as vicodin is concerned. That is an opioid medication. Switching to less harmful NSAID like gabapentin etc will fix the issue. No worries it is easily doable.

As far as cravings are concerned you can sign up for a rehab. Finding others like you trying to quit makes it easy.

I hope it helps. Consult your doctor as our advice is just for education purposes only. Take good care of yourself and don't forget to close the discussion please.

Brief Answer:
Yes it will reduce the pain

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back
The key for withdrawal is to switch to lower potent drugs with less hazards. It takes a lot of efforts. Slower the better.

Apart from gabapentin alternative methods like meditation techniques, acupuncture etc also help the cravings.

I hope it helps.
