2. Since medicine can be given to regenerate cartilage, but do let me know any specific site so that Yoga Poses/Exercises can be site directed.
3. Avoid: salt, sour, newly harvested rice, jaggery, curd, sesame, heavy/slimy food, oil, alkalis, day time sleeping

Detailed Answer:
Dear

1. Since there is no injury related issues, so going by your Reports. following points are worth mentioning:

. joint space is reduced between the knee joints [as a result due to friction while walking results in inflammation and body response as stiffness]
. Prior to opting for any alternate system of Medicine, consult an Orthopedic surgeon for expert opinion.

2. In Ayurveda I usually manage the condition on the basis of 'Sandhi Vaat' and prescribe following line of management and treatment:

Take: old brown rice,black,horse gram,brinjal,garlic,pomegranate, XXXXXXX lemon, almonds,black grapes, sesame,oil,milk,coconut water,tamarind, sun bath, asafoetida,castor oil,lukewarm water,warm clothes,garlic or ginger mixed buttermilk,saunf XXXXXXX marich.

Avoid: peas,chick pea,bitter gourd,betel nut,late nights,fasting,excess walking and eating,jaggery,curd,excess grief-tension.

PS. Please ignore last mentioned dietary regime since it was written kept in mind any injury related issue.

1. Quadriceps Exercises/Knee cap
PS. You can Practice Utkatasan (chair pose),Trikonasan (triangle pose), Utthita Parsvakonasan (extended side angle pose) to strengthen your Knees, thighs, hips and ankles but only after consulting.
2. Use of Walking Stick/Umbrella
3. Avoid Sitting on floor/ climbing stairs as far as possible.
4. Use Commode.
5.
. Dry Heat is the best [in form of hot water bottle, dryer
