Did your doctor confirm that it was dandruff or is it Seborrhoeic dermatitis or Scalp psoriasis ? The reason why I ask is because Topisal lotion is a potent topical steroid and it is usually given for Scalp psoriasis. Even though it gives improvement even in seborrhoeic dermatitis and dandruff, it is not recommended in these conditions because they will cause rebound flare up of disease the moment topisal is stopped. It is always better to avoid steroid in seborrhoeic dermatitis and dandruff. Minoxidil forte 5 %, Zincovit tablet and Revilus tablet are treatments for male pattern hair loss and you may continue it. In my practice I usually give supplements for three months but will continue Minoxidil for long duration. Minoxidil will take time for showing results, a minimum of three months. Personally I would not recommend topisal lotion for dandruff. You may use an anti-dandruff shampoo like Scalpe or Keraglo AD three times a day. Following which plain anti-dandruff shampoo is continued thrice a week. Once you get very good improvement in dandruff which is usually after a month, anti-dandruff shampoo is maintained once a week. Do not stop it completely. It is better to avoid oil on the scalp if you have dandruff as the yeast causing dandruff is lipophilic and likes oil. Hope this helped, Take care.
