Suggest Treatment For Yeast Infection On Penis And Near Urethra

default
Posted on Wed, 18 Mar 2015
Question: I have a male yeast infection on my penis and it has gone to the tip of my urethra as well and stings at times with residual urine dripping out, etc. I saw two Urgent Care doctors who put me on Clithromazole cream and then the second gave me one Diflucan 150mg. Two days after the 1 Diflucan, it just kept getting worse, so I went to see my general practitioner who now has me a 10 days of 150mg Diflucan, once daily. I am now on day three with no marked improvement. As background, my wife just got over her yeast infection, which we found she had just prior to giving it to me. So this is obviously how it was transmitted.

Hello Doctor,

To answer your questions, I am not currently diabetic, although my A1C level was borderline just as of last year. I have had trouble on the past in curing a yeast infection, but have not had one in more than two years now.

The only discharge I have is basically residual urine that does not fully evacuate during urination.

My GP on Wednesday did a urine test and found no infection in my urine. His diagnosis was that the yeast infection started around the head, then it has spread to just inside the tip of my urethra.

I have a strong, almost painful, urgency most of the day as I am drink plenty of water? It doesn't particular sting while while urinating, just afterwards when I lay down and residual urine makes it way out as I shift in bed. I do notice quite a bit of residual urine on my underwear after urinating, enough so that my underwear feels wet.

You think this might be a bacterial infection as well, plus the original fungal infection?

Brief Answer:
this could be due to combined effect of fungal and bacterial infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for feedback.
This is likely to be due to bacterial infection super added over fungal infection.

Please get blood sugar levels done done in a present situation as reading of sugar level done 1 year back have no significance.

Continue taking drugs which I have suggested earlier.I think it will work for you.
Thanks and Regards.
