Brief Answer:
A good ENT examination is suggested first

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concern.

From what you are reporting, it seems that you're intolerant to AC and become stiffness.

All the mucosa of upper respiratory tract is inflamed, including the communicating channel between oropharynx and ear (Eustachian tube).

All this stiffness is causing roaring in your ear.

If I was your caring doctor would advise to get a good clinical examination by ENT specialist, and audiogram to evaluate the changes in your ear including inner ear.

For the moment, until you see ENT specialist, I advise to use OTC antihistaminic orally and nasal decongestant.

If you have to switch on the AC, then, get the window open once in a while in order to cause air leaking and avoid bad effects of AC. If you can't open the window, should go outside frequently. Adjusting the temperature and humidity of AC can also help.

Hope it was of help.

Brief Answer:
Following advice

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,

Ok then

Apart changes of AC temperature and humidity, I recommend you to try OTC antihistaminic orally and nasal decongestant such as:

- chlopheniramine every 4 or 6 hours depending on severity of symptoms
- loratadine at bedtime
- sometimes they come combined and can use up to 3 times/day during the acute episode
- nasal decongestant include those containing highly concentrated NaCl, or herbal combination or might contain oxymetazoline or pseudoephedrine.
These can be used for non more than 7 days via nose.

While can use herbal nasal spray for longer.

With regards to foods or drinks, there is no limitations, unless you find them to aggravate or trigger stiffed nose.

Increasing water intake is highly recommended. XXXXXXX pots can help together with regular blowing of your nose.

Wish fast recovery.

Brief Answer:
Following answers to your questions

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,

Yes, you are right. It is due to differences in air pressure through Eustachian tube.

While, after having a bath, perhaps water enters ear and aggravate blockage.

In both cases, can cover your ears. In addition when using elevator, chew up chewing gum as it will help with air pressure balance.

Hope it answered to your questions.
