Question: Hi,

My baby boy is of 2 month. I found a white spot below his tongue. Also my wife found some blood spot on her nipple while feeding him. It seems that he is not able to sleep because of the spot. What should i do for this.

Brief Answer:
Cracked nipple could be the source of blood spot.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking once again on HealthcareMagic.

I understand your concerns but would request you to upload an image of the white spot you mention. I doubt if it is the cause of his being unable to sleep. I would request you to describe the exact nature of problem. Also mention if the child is exclusively breast fed. Children of this age frequency suffer from colics and that could be the cause of him not being able to sleep properly. Proper burping by holding head end raised for at least 20 mins after each feed is essential.

About the blood spot on your wife's breast, I would request you to provide more details. Was there any trauma or XXXXXXX bleeding? Is there a cracked nipple? Let me know about what you infer to be the possible source of bleeding.

I would await your response.

Regards
