Brief Answer:
Physician's advice & self efforts would help.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX
Thanks for the query.
Usually weight gain in pregnancy in 9 months is 11 Kgs. Which goes down to 6 Kgs after child birth( because it's due to the baby+ placenta+ fluid around baby. The remaining weight gain is due to fat deposition in pregnancy & is usually consumed during lactation & comes to normal in one year.
You have not mentioned the period after LSCS. Even if it's not yet 1 year, you have a challenge of reducing 25 kgs to come back to normal. I understand your concern.
Your doctor has advised Reshape slim powder for slimming. It's a good preparation with low calorie, essential micronutrients, and high fibbers nutrients. But merely taking powder is not going to help reduction of weight.
* The problem needs to be investigated, & then proper lifestyle is to be adopted along with the powder
* I can suggest the probable cause of weight gain after LSCS in your case .They can be-
- Excessive rest & high calorie food after operation,
- You had oedema in pregnancy-which might have continued/increased raising weight. So few causes of oedema need to be excluded - It's good that your thyroid testing is normal.
- Anaemia/blood pressure/urine infection.-I would suggest Hb% & CBC, Urine check up for routine (albumin) & microscopic& a blood pressure check up & physical examination by a physician.
- Raised blood sugar in pregnancy increases maternal & baby weight, this may have not resolved. Blood sugar Fasting & post meal will exclude/diagnose raised blood sugar (Diabetes). Which needs a specific treatment?
* Family history of obesity/diabetes is to be considered.
Management-
** To pin point the specific diagnosis by, a physician's consultation /Investigations/specific treatment will help weight reduction,
** Life style changes-
- Exercises- If you have LSCS 6 months back you can start with mild exercises .like walking, mild abdominal stretches ( to be increased gradually),pelvic tilts, modified planks, Bridge exercise, modified cobra pose. Leg raising (mild), Perineal exercises can be slowly started & increased as per a physical therapist's advise.
- Increased activities- house hold work, games, hobbies,
- Diet- A high protein vitamin rich & iron & calcium diet with lees carbohydrates& high fibers is to be taken.
A dietician’s advice will be good.
** Positive psychology - Pranayama with meditation & positive thinking will remove tension & help.
- A sound sleep for 8 hours in a day is ideal. Excessive sleep to be avoided.

** Instead of instant formulas, a natural/ gradual reduction with constant efforts will reduce you as well as keep you healthy.
I hope the answer was informative & helpful to you. Any further query is welcome.
Thanks.

Thank you so much Doctor. ur opinion worths me. I have forget to mention about my family history. My father is overweight from birth. my mother has diabetes. from birth am not overweight. i ve a greater fat deposition now. i have undergone my c section in october 21, 2012. As u say, rest and high rich diet be the reason for my weight gain at present, my Hb level falls around 10.4 . random sugar 78mg/dl.BP 120/70mm HG. Whether Following a diet change and physical workouts can help me in my weight loss.., my doctor prescribe me of Obifat too. recently i stop taking the medicine. As i have my baby my sleep time is from night 1am to morg 7.30am. whether this change in time of sleep has role in weight gain. earlier i used to sleep from 10pm to 5.30am.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX
Thank you for the query. It suggests your deep interest in achieving your goal .
It's good that you don't have blood sugar/high blood pressure or thyroid problem.
* Still few things causing oedema &adding to weight remain to be excluded/treated & they are,
- Get urine routine for excluding persistent pregnancy oedema,
- You have low Hb% ,which needs to be treated by Iron, protein supplements, vitamins( specially C & B)
* You have family history of obesity. It predisposes person for obesity. You can keep Kgs your weight at optimum level in spite it, by adopting good life style ( as already described)
* your mother has diabetes, you therefore have chance of getting diabetes ,which fortunately has't appeared yet! THe reduction of weight & maintaining ideal life style can postpone/escape it.
*As long as you have sufficient hours of sound sleep, the change in time should not matter.
* You have random sample for blood sugar, I would suggest Glucose tolerance test, lipid profile, serum insulin. & consult a physician for need ( if any) of medication-which can make reduction easier/rational.
So,don't worry, you will definitely loose your extra Kgs & attain ideal weight
- with dietary changes & exercises .
-taking dietary supplements/medicines to improve your anemia
- A positive/determined/ persistent efforts.
I hope you are satisfied with the answer.any more query is welcome.
Wish you good luck,
Thanks.
