Suggest Treatment For Wart On Finger

default
Posted on Mon, 30 Mar 2015
Question: My name is XXXX, I am allergic to penicillin, micen, sulphur, codeine arethromicen and amoxicillin. I have a wart on my finger that I have had for approximately a year and a half. I've seen a dermatologist concerning it, it has been frozen at least 4 times and I have also had injections for it. I have tried home remedies as well, such as: apple cider vinegar, raw potatoes, battery acid. I have also tried acid that the dermatologist prescribed but nothing has worked, the pain in this finger is so severe that even morphine doesn't even help. I am at the point that I'm ready to chop the finger off my hand, I don't think it could be anymore painful. Is there anything that you could suggest. Thank you in advance for any assistance you could provide.

Brief Answer:
In your kind of case the best suited therapy is Intralesional immunotherapy

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

Welcome and thanks for posting your query to the forum.

I can understand your concern for the wart on the finger. It is really quite bothersome to have wart that too on finger. It not only hampers our day to day activities but also causes lot inconvenience.

As I can get from your query that you have gone through multitude of therapies without any benefit. In your kind of cases the best suited therapy is Intralesional immunotherapy.

To tell you simply about this therapy: Warts are formed by the viral infection which are actually not a part of our body system. it is due to the fact that the body is not able to mount immune response against the viruses and therefore persist for longer time.

The Intralesional immunotherapy utilizes the ability of the immune system to mount a delayed type hypersensitivity response to viral antigens and also the wart tissue. Therefore gives a complete cure without much of efforts.

An injection is given with BCG vaccine at the local tissues of wart and within few weeks the wart tissue vanishes off. It requires a proper instillation of the vaccine as well as dose of vaccine to get the best and earliest results.
You can take further guidance form a treating doctor or dermatologist.

I hope these information's will help you. If you have further queries I will be happy to help.

"Wish you good health and early recovery from the problem"
