Question: A week ago my 5 year old grandson got sick at school and vomited. His mom picked him up from school and said he had a fever. She gave him some ibuprofen and he said, mom my headaches gone. The next day I was watching him and he told me he reached for something and his hand felt asleep and when he got up he walked like an old man. Now today he vomited and says his head hurts. Is this something to be concerned with or am I just over reacting

meet neurologist immediately

Hello

Thanks for the query

Headache associated with vomiting and neurological symptoms like numbness of hand, excessive sleep and vomiting are signs of neurological involvement. Please do not ignore this any further meet a neurologist as soon as possible.
I would want him to get a ct brain done and some routine blood tests like complete blood count

I hope I was of help, please get back to me for any further queries
