Brief Answer:
viral fever. water sponging,antipyretics

Detailed Answer:
Hi Dear
Welcome to the HCM,
This is the season of changing weather. An ideal temperature for the viruses flourishing. So lot of and viruses are rampant in the society in this season.

This is a viral fever only. Needs to be taken care with antipyretic like paracetamol with doses @ 15 mg per kg. Can be given 4 to 6 hourly. Paracetamol is supposed to be quite safe for the kids.
Zifi (cefixime) at this moment does not seems to be required.
Take care of the hydration with plenty of fluids, what ever baby likes to sip.
Babies do not like to eat in this situation so they should be encouraged to take any things whatever they do prefer.
Usually viral fever do respond of its own in 4 to 7 days. But we should help the child in maintaing its temperature by tepid water sponging and antipyretics.

But if the fever do not respond in 5 to 7 days and there are some other symptoms like vomiting ,pain in abdomen, breathing difficulty or rashes in the body then one should also investigate the child in terms of CBC, ESR , PLATELET COUNT, TYPHI DOT TEST, MALARIA ANTIGEN,DENGUE ns1 ANTIGEN AND SEROLOGY TEST.
Hope the query is answered.
Please feel free for the further clarification.
Thanks
