Suggest Treatment For Vertigo

Question: I have had a condition for six months for which several doctors seem to have no answer. The original diagnosis was the inner ear was not sending the right info to the brain and that the eyes and ears were not in sync. Gabapentin as prescribed but over the time period I continued to get worse. I began flop around and had no control over walking, sometimes to the left but most of the time backward. My whole body will flop. No problem sleeping or sitting. Most of the time now my eyes do not focus well. I have been to my family physician, a chiropractor, and two neurologists. My head gets heavy and it spins. I cannot stand for more than five minutes without the symptoms starting.

Vertigo

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare Magic and thanks for putting up the query
You are having vertigo. To maintain balance both ears and eyes need to work together but in most of cases ears are not able to maintain balance causing frequent falls.
Please tell me do you have any other symptoms like nausea or hearing loss or ringing in the ears?
Do you have falls on one side like right or left?
Do you have symptoms only when you stand from sitting or otherwise also like on turning in the bed, turning your head etc?
Follow up with the required information so that I can suggest you better.
Thanks and regards

I am affected only when I am on my feet. Nothing else spins except me. I have not fallen because I use a walker and I am very careful. I can turn my head sideways but not up or down. I have not responded to any treatment. What medication would you have recommended when this first occurred? I have some nausea but not
much. XXXXXXX will be 7 months and I am tired of this. Does it go away by itself? Thank you. Rosalyn Biery
