Brief Answer:
Yes , I advice to do the surgery...

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking Healthcaremagic.

I advice to do the surgery because you will not only be protected from a blood clot that can be formed in these veins, but you will be safe other complications like:
-Ulcers in the skin of your leg. These ulcers are caused by long-term fluid buildup in these tissues caused by the increased pressure from the varicose veins.
-Bleeding. Sometimes the veins very close to the skin may burst and bleed.
-Pain. Usually at night you might experience pain in your leg due to the varicose vein.

So yes,I suggest you do the surgery.
First you need a doppler ultrasound of your leg and vein. Than a consult with a vascular surgeon. Of course routine blood tests will be needed.

If you have any other question, don't hesitate to contact me.

Wish you good health.
