default
Posted on Mon, 26 May 2014
Question: Hi I am 50 year old married woman and it appears that I have a yeast infection. I just purchased Miconazole Vaginal Cream and I just read the instructions and just about ready to use, but wondered how long should it take before I feel any relief? This is only my second time in my life to have a yeast infection last one was many years ago and I took pills during that episode. first time to use cream.
Thanks,
XXXX

Brief Answer:
Thank you for using HCM, I would love to help

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

You should start feeling relief within a day or so of starting the medicine. By three days you should feel pretty much like normal again. But remember that if you go a week or so with no relief, you should see your doctor to make sure it is not some other problem.

However, it is still safe to use as most years infections will resolve easily with the over the counter medicine. It is only when it doesn't work that you will need to see a doctor.

Please let me know if you need any more information.
