Hi..
Thanks for writing..
I understand your concern..

Usually after menopause the size of fibroid decreases and hence the symptoms also decreases.

I would like to ask a few questions to help you better. What are the symptoms you are experiencing now and since how long your have this problem? What is the size of the fibroid and it's position. Please upload the scan report if possible? Since how long you are menopausal?

Looking forward for your reply.. Feel free to ask any doubts. Good day.

I have been menopausal for 6 years. The symptom is mainly pelvic pain especially lower left side. I don't have a scan available but I do know that I have several fibroids, one large one at the entrance to my uterus. The last x-ray of my pelvic bones (for arthritis) showed a large calcified fibroid. I have had fibroids for many years, they used to cause heavy bleeding and pain when I did have my periods.

Pain in the fibroid after menopause is not common unless it is a degeneration of fibroid. I would suggest to get a repeat scan done and a pelvic examination to rule out pelvic inflammatory disease. If it is PID a course of antibiotics will help you.. In the scan, ovarian cyst if any can be detected as this can also cause pain.

Hope i have answered your query.. Please upload the scan report for a better help. Feel free to ask any doubts. Good day.
