default
Posted on Mon, 5 Dec 2016
Question: Pl forward this request to Dr. Ratnesh Pandey only.
My mother[65yrs] is diabetic and currently in control as she is taking alopathic medicine daily in the morning. She is having urine passing issues with burning sensation and sometime with in month once or twice in the night she is unable to pass the urine due to this she cries/weeps alot for 2-3 hours and then only it passes in drops after taking alkasol syrup with water, i would like to understand this issue with details as this is happening quite frequently now. She had undergone with 2 minor surgeries after consulting with UROLOGIST one recently and other 2years back. As per urologist consultation this is due to abnormal blood sugar levels whenever she skips the sugar medicines. Now i am not convinced with this as she is quite regular to sugar medicine and mostly 5-6 times in a week out of 7 days she takes the medicine. I would like to know your point of view with details on symptoms and correct line of treatment for her.
She does not sleep peacefully due to this and often wakes up early in the morning due to this problem. Kindly provide details.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Mr XXXXXXX
Actually there are two theory for the urine retention in diabetes

1 first is the infection of urinary bladder . having urine in bladder for long time allows bacteria to grow in the urinary tract. so as a consequence initially patient complain for frequent urinary episodes later on he/she develops a problem to unable to urinate even after the feeling. and this irritate the patient.
2 Second is, Urge for urine start from the signal which is received by the nerves located in the inner line of bladder muscle while urinary bladder is full and this signal is sent to the brain. But in some cases of diabetes it is seen that the nerve are damaged and this neuropathy leads to such problem. even patient wants to urinate but brain is not getting signals to contract the muscle.
This is not necessary that every time he or she would face the problem. Problem may vary time to time.

Now before suggesting any thing further i would suggest you to get some test or share the report if you have already done

Blood sugar random
Blood sugar fasting
Blood sugar after 1 hour of meal.

Once you share the report then will suggest you next line of treatment.
Thanks
Dr Ratnesh

Hello
As you have mentioned that she is already taking the medicine for sugar and she is having balanced diabetic diet. in-spite of measure her findings are high. so it is important to repeat for urine random and microscopic and also suggest you to get Renal function test report done.
This is important to diagnose accurately.
meanwhile i am suggesting a medicine and suggest you to start

vesicaria Q 20 drops with half cup of water. Medicine is given in advance case of diabetes.
Medicine will help to cure urinary trouble and difficult micturation.
Rest of medicine would be advice after the analysis of reports.
Keep taking the allopathic medicine.

Thanks

Hello Mr XXXXXXX
That's great her all finding are normal. Cholesterol is little high and that can be manage with little dietary control. Female after age of 50 tends to high cholesterol.
Now this is clear that she wont have any other issue except the blood sugar level.
So i am

Insulin 10x 4 pills twice in day
acid phos Q 10 drops twice in day with half cup of water
r86 20 drops with half cup of water
Vesicaria Q 20 drops with half cup of water twice in a day

Insulin helps to regulate the thyroid function and blood sugar in the body.

take medicine for a month and update.
Keep track on her blood sugar level in regular interval.

Thanks

Detailed Answer:
The symptom can be correlated to diabetes. Diabetes cause diminish supply of oxygen on distal part of body and also damage the nerve.
So in most of case pain in distal part of body like finger toes is noted. In most of cases numbness with pain or pain less symptom appear in diabetic patient.
Similar symptoms are noted in arthritis but this time the reason seems to be only related to sugar level.
Once her sugar level come to the normal her complain would subside by it self.
