Brief Answer:
Could be voiding dysfunctioin

Detailed Answer:
Hi...By what you quote I feel that your kid might be having voiding dysfunction. In this condition the urge to void to urine will be sudden and intense and the kid will run urgently to the toilet before voiding urine.

I have a few questions for you -

1. Did he have any Urinary infections in the past and if so how many and at what ages?
2. When this happens he passes less quantity of urine or ordinary quantity?
3. Is it associated with fever?
4. Does he have the habit of holding back the urine?
5. Does anybody else in the family have a similar problem?

Kindly get back to me with answers to the above questions.

Regards - Dr. Sumanth
