Suggest Treatment For Tongue Base Cancer

Question: My husband is receiving radiation treatments for cancer at the base of the tongue. It's only the second week & he can't swallow so a feeding tube is being put in . He is also starting chemo today and my fear is that if he vomits from the chemo he will aspirated because of the soreness in the throat. Do you suggest the chemo? His type of cancer is mainly treated with radiation but they are putting in the chemo as an extra measure. He's so weak & has lost so much weight that I don't think he's going to be able to tolerate it. Your thoughts?
