Question: I have a 9 year old grandson that refuses to eat after a choking incident its been 2 weeks now he has buzzing in ears and headache been to doctor and they said put the food in front of him and don't let him leave till he eats it plus take all privliages off him still did not eat at whits end what can be done

Hi...by what you quote I understand that after the choking incident he's scared of choking and the sight of food is scaring him.

Reprimanding will not help. Infact it will aggravate the situation.

I suggest that you talk to him in loving terms and make sure he understands that, by not eating he's making you feel hurt.

If still he's not amenable, then he might need psychological evaluation.
