Brief Answer:
Less hair growth is basically genetic condition which is totally normal.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome and thanks for posting your query to the forum.

I can understand your concern for very thin mustache. It is sometimes really distressing for young men like you for the improper hair growth as per your age.

Let me first reassure and counsel you that most of the times your kind of problem is totally normal condition which we very commonly see in day to day practice. Young men like you who do not have properly grown beard and mustaches are quite concerned and anxious to grow them fully by any means.

Let you understand some medical facts regarding hair growth: The growth of beard and mustaches is totally dependent upon our genetics, it means whatever genes we are carrying for the growth- from our mother and father's side are responsible for that pattern of hair growth and other of features such health, height and everything.

Now you must be wondering that why you have specifically less hair over beard location then. It is due to simple fact of the genes you are carrying. You may say that your father and brother have normal hair and why less in yourself then.

It does not mean that we should be totally alike our parents but it means whatever the pattern was present in our forefathers for up to multiple generations, the same pattern will be exhibited in ourselves also.

It is due to the fact that you are not carrying exactly the same genes which your father or brother are carrying. We carry our genes from our forefather and forefather of our forefathers.

In yourself you carry a gene with less hair growth on beard area due to less hair roots and accordingly you have less hair. We usually see this kind of pattern of less mustaches and beard in Asiatic people especially from Chinese origin and people from some Caucasian families.

I very often consult young men like you very anxious to grow hair on any cost. Even they take or apply one or the other medicines. But I see a lot of side effects and ultimately getting some serious problems. So I personally suggest you to not to get fascinated by one or other advertisements related to it.

Other than the normal pattern, sometimes it can be due to less male hormones or endocrinologist problem in a person.

Let me know few points from your side :

- do you have hair growth on arm pit and pubic areas.

- do you feel any abnormality in your sexual desire or tumescence of penile area or any erection problem any time or are you sexually active. Do you feel morning penile erections.

- how is your family pattern.

I hope these information will help you. I will be glad to reply any further queries.

Brief Answer:
totally normal. Not endocrinological condition.

Detailed Answer:
Hello young fellow,

Thanks for your follow up and providing all the important information.

Now after getting these information and analyzing with diligence, the most important part is that your condition is simple condition related to genetics rather then hormonal problem.

It is quite important to differentiate the normal gentical condition from the endocrinological condition. As you have totally normal of all other of your sexual functions with normal hair growth on other sites of body, so it rules out any possibility of endocrinological condition.

There is no effect of masturbation on hair growth, so do not be worried regarding the same.

Our hair grows till the age of 25 years so still you have 5-6 years for the same. DO not get fascinated by any products of hair growth as can harm you rather than giving any benefit.

I hope above information will help you.
