Brief Answer:
Diagnosis is CKD

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

As you describe the condition there are two possibility of diagnosis- one is chronic kidney disease and other is nephrotic syndrome. In any case since the disease is there for more than one year it will remain and mostly some or the other medicines will be required life long. The condition cannot be cured it can only be controlled with medicines. Most of the chronic kidney diseases are progressive and slowly they will destroy the kidney to reach a stage of dialysis or transplant. But no one can predict how much time it will take to reach that stage. sometimes it may take many years to reach that stage. Medicines also help to reduce the speed of destruction.

best wishes
