Question:
Hello doctor,
Since January this year I have been having some rectel pain and rectal spasm, constipitiom (thin small stool) though apetite was fine.
Even some abdominal pain at times, couple of times few drops of blood.
I consulted a doctor who recommended a cream, xyloproct anteseptic then it was fine.
He also suggested lactulose a laxative for 2 weeks, but i still had loose motion during day 3-4 times a day; loose or narrow small motion.
The he asked to stop lactuloase, and start inolaxol granules with muesli then stool was consistent for 2 weeks then again in 3rd week still bit abdominal pain front and side and lil back pain started. So stopped Inolaxol and started lactose free diet for one week, then 3 more weeks to completly milk free diet but still time to time abno pain and constipation (small narrow stools)
Now been bowel care (From Organic India) past two weeks and nutrolion B- ( a probiotic) No abdominal pain now, very less low back pain at times, can we related to ibs- Iritable Bowel Syndrome? Apettite is normal since past few days but pain in stomach area about the naval, sometimes naeusitic past 2 days.
lost 3 kgs lost in 1.5 weeks.
Suring this time also taken stool samples for blood which came Negative.
also for bacteria, virus ,worms all came Negative
Urine test to check for blood which too negative.
So 29 i will have a rectoscopy but do you suggest? gastroscopy or colonoscopy? doctor in XXXXXXX thought IBS when I got checked in XXXXXXX in XXXXXXX
Lifestyle is pretty healthy, muesli juices, active life, workout,no smoke, very low alchol one pint one week, no other medication apart from vitamins or fish oil..
what is your suggestions.. bowel care nutrolin ???
The thing is at times I over analysis things also due to stress I have some anxiety issues at times, which aggravates the situation.
I am in Sweden currently.

Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.

Though some of the symptoms point towards irritable bowel syndrome, the symptoms like bleeding per rectum and loss of weight are against the diagnosis of irritable bowel syndrome unless these are explained by some other coincidental causes.

Yes, you need to undergo colonoscopy to find the cause.

I hope that answers your query.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
Regards,
Dr.R.K.
