Suggest Treatment For Symptoms Of Betnovate-N
Question: Hello, I am suffering from topical steroid withdrawal syndrome.
Having used topical steroid cream (betnovit-N) on my face / neck for over 4 years, I got to know about its addiction when I ran out of it and my skin would react and develop rashes, specially behind the ears and on the cheeks.
Now I have not used the cream for over a month, and am facing the withdrawal symptoms like itching, rashes, mild swelling, watery eyes.
A local dermatologist prescribed lotion (Moisoft) and xyxol for itching, and cutis cream. But this is not really helping, and I need to apply heavy moisturizer (gylcerine+given moistuirizer) many times a day to help with the itching and tightening of the face. I do not want to use the cutis cream, since this is also a steroid.
Am I on the right track, can u prescribe anything else to help with the symptoms, and how much time will it take approximately for the symptoms to fade away.

It is used in steroid withdrawl.
You have used a super potent cream for long.
If you stop steroids suddenly there will be much reaction.
Use cutis in night and a good moisturizing lition in morning.
After a month you can make cutis alternate day and next month once a week and gradually stop.
This should help you.
