Brief Answer:
A course of antibiotic- Physical examination and investigations, stop worry

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.

To recapitulate:
- 38 / Female - 5 months post partum - Asthmatic - does not feel sick but has itchy eyes.
-Right armpit has tender, soft, red, raised and looks like a bite kind of lump
-Left armpit sore and tender swelling - both of which you feel like lymph nodes.
-Worried about cancer about googling ....

As per the description and history you have provided, these looks to be boils and may be hidradenitis meaning excessively active sweat glands causing boils or so.
The lymph nodes are deep enough and can not be palpated so easily.
Caner nodes never get red, tender or painful unless secondarily infected.

If you please do self examination of the breasts, you may also find some lesions / lumps. If they are absent these are again least likely to be cancer.

I would advise you the following:
-Get an examination by a Doctor, preferably Surgeon for evaluation.
-A course of an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen ( if breast feeding, you have to tell your Doctor so that the care is taken not to prescribe unsafe medicines for the baby).
-Investigation of ultrasonography of the breasts, armpits, FNAC if required should be sufficient to alleviate the fear of a Cancer.
-It is good that you are aware of cancer.

I hope, this answer helps you, please fell free to ask for more and if possible please let me know a few following things:
-Since when are you having these lumps?
-Are you Breast feeding the baby ?
-Any swelling, redness, lump or so in any of the breasts ?

If these things are negative, just stop worrying , get examined and investigated and relax...
