Suggest Treatment For Swollen Itchy Vagina
Question: Hello all if the sudden my vulva basically my whole vagina was itching intensely all of the sudden. And it is swollen really bad. I have enlarged labia ad it is but this is just cRazy. What should I do.

Please tell me a few things-
1. Did this come on all of a sudden ?
2. Was it small first and then did it grow in size, or was it this size all of a sudden ?
3. Any trigger for it - recent unusual sexual activity, injury during masturbation, shaving, pricking, handling the area, anything ?
4. Has this happened earlier ?
5. Are you clean for all STD s ?
6. Did you feel any kind of growth coming on before this appeared ?
7. Since when have you noticed this ?
8. Apart from swelling and itching, do you have any other complaints ?
9. Do you have any other medical condition ?
10. Where do you reside ? Is filariasis endemic there ?

yes it did come up all of the sudden, it was swelling and the reached this size in like 5 mins I haven't had sex for 2 months. ive never had this happen and as far as I know I dont have any std or sti the only thing was that it was super itchy all of the sudden. I was just sick and am still taking antibiotics. I live in az.

See, this picture is classical of elephantiasis ( filariasis ) of the vulva.
It is very classic.
But the history differs.
This condition occurs due to infection with a parasitic worm.
The swelling is generally chronic, initially small then increasing over a period of time.
Low grade fever also is seen.
I do not think this worm is rampant in Arizona.
Another more likely possibility is that this is a very bad yeast infection.
Try and apply some CLotrimazole with steroid ointment over it.
Give it some ice compresses.
Soak in hot sitz bath.
It is very necessary to consult an OB - GYN , who will examine you internally and make a diagnosis, also a vaginal swab and culture is a must to confirm the infection.
