Welcome and thank you for asking!
Regarding to infection of the salivary gland, you need to check them again with ultrasound after treatment with antibiotics to see if the effect of treatment ( if they are still swollen or not).
The lemon that was recommended to suck during these days may have caused an inflamation of esophagus or probably you had undiagnosed gastric reflux and the acid of lemon has aggravated it.
I would recommend to see the physician again and recheck the salivary gland and discuss about the symptoms you have now.
Wish you good health.
Kind regards,

Brief Answer:
Hi again!

Detailed Answer:
Hello again,
I would suggest to use baking soda with honey for your mouth, mix them together and rub the inner surface of the mouth.
If the burning sensation goes down to esophagus and stomach, i would suggest Gaviscon for 3-4 days.
Stop the lemon meanwhile.
Wish you happy holidays.

Dr.Mirjeta
