Brief Answer:
Physical examination

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist,here to answer your query.

Since he has developed feet swelling just recently,he needs to be evaluated for the same.Medicines,he is taking from past 2 years, are not apparently responsible for feet swelling.
Please tell whether-
1)A depressed pit is formed or not, when the swollen leg is pressed with a finger? If the depression/pit is formed, for how long does it remain after you remove the finger?
2)Any history or urine problems? Is his urine output ok?
3)Any history of Diabetes?Kidney disease?Heart disease?Liver disease?chronic alcoholism?

He may need to undergo the following investigations-
1)Serum proteins
2)Kidney function tests
3)2-D Echocardiography
4)USG Abdomen

Please follow up with details so that I may answer your query well.

Regards
Dr.Ajay Panwar,
MD,DM(Neurology)
