Suggest Treatment For Swelling In The Foot And Fingers

Question: Hi, Iam 60 and recently undergone thrombosed prolapse in july. now often i notice that my right foot top i.e. that is from after the fingers , is a bit swollen up in the morning. Is it a sign for any kidney disorder? could you please elucidate?

It could not be related to kidney disease.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Swelling of the foot due to kidney disease usually affect two lower limbs.In your case,only one foot is affected.
It could be simple edema.No specific treatment is necessary.
If it is red and painful, it is Cellulitis.

If you are still worried about kidney, you may get kidney function tests done. Your local doctor will know about it. And if the kidney function tests are normal, get a Colour doppler of the affected lower limb.
