Brief Answer:
Explained in detail

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

Antiseptic cleaning with pyodine diluted solution, local application of a triple antibiotic cream like Neosporin should be done primarily. If the infection and swelling is marked then oral amoxicillin clavulanate should be prescribed in consultation with your doctor.

HIV, HCV and HBV testing should be done as contamination of the needle with blood , multiple use especially associated with recreational drug use, can lead to transmission of these infections.
