Brief Answer:
Detailed history and clinical examination is essential to make a diagnosis

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone through the details provided but would require further details to be sure about the condition. Please mention
* The duration of problems
* The nature of onset of the problem
* Whether it occurs for both solids and liquids or for any one of them

The lymph nodes could be due to localized infection but other possibilities need to be considered and clinical examination and correlation is essential in such a case.

The jump you mention could be due to shifting of a lymph node or salivary gland with the contraction of some muscle during swallowing. Once again it is hard to comment without clinical examination

Would you suggest me going to the hospital or consulting with primary dr? ... ** had the lymph node since 3 wks ago. it was hot all around my neck ..it was uncomfortable to eat or drink. then it went down a bit by mother's day (may 11) ..it was hot out, however..& irritated it...to where it swelled up again. Now currently ..i feel congestion , & drainage on right side of neck ..around ear too. sometimes i will feel drainage on left side too. I have dry mouth also because i havent ate much. I have been nauseous since mother's day event. I was given Zofran from clinic , that night. Zofran relieved nausea but i hated the side effects. Didnt have much appetite for at least 2-3 days..i am eating small meals now. I cant hold anything in..all biles are diarrhea. Recently came from clinic again for horrific heartburn ..given pepcid plus maalox..relieved some of it..i got drowsy however..then this rush of air coming up from my stomach causing me to inhale/exhale very deeply , ..which startled me. i have calmed down since. I am meeting with dr mon. Only wanted a second opinon. Off & on i get congested with this lymph node ...then drainage. oh & took urine test & dr said he found infection in urine. It's a lot. I apologize :/ but that's as detailed as i can get. Hope that was of some assistance to you.

Brief Answer:
It is likely to be due to infective cause.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back.

Indeed you should consult your primary physician. If you can however share his findings, it would be much easier for me to comment upon. As such, hot lymph nodes are likely to be to be due to some infection and not due to cancer or something that could be a cause of worry. The source of infection needs to be located and treated. The acid reflux and the bowel problems indicate that the bowel movements are not proper. In such a case, fiber supplements like isabgol as well as high fiber diet coupled with regular exercise and morning walk should help in easing your problems.
