Question: Hey, my mom dropped a box on her arm abs now there is a large elevated purple bump filled with fluid, should she go to doctor?

This is obviously subcutaneous hematoma which happens when small sibcutaneous vein is broken or partial muscle rupture happens. If there is no suspicion of bone fracture,she should just put ice on it,bandage it with elastic compress,keep arm elevated and rest. If sympotms progress she should see doctor.regards
