Suggest Treatment For Stress And Difficulty Sleeping

default
Posted on Sat, 13 Dec 2014
Question: I work alot. About 65 hrs in 5 days. Mostly standing so I assume thats why I feel tired all the time. Im usually a little dizzy headed and have just learned to deal w it. For the past 3 weeks my left bottom eyelid has twitched off and on all day and now I have fluttering in my right ear. I have experienced this before but this time is louder and last longer each time. Also Ive had severe ringing to the point I cant hear anything but it only last a few moments. I dont know if all this is caused by stress and lack of rest or something more serious. Oh one other thing. Somethings when I am very tired and go to sleep when I wake up it is very hard to wake up. Like I cant sit up or open my eyes. When I finally do I have pounding in my chest and get very dizzy. I am 36 yrs old and have always been very healthy. Thank you!

Brief Answer:
Lack of adequate sleep is the prime cause...

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for posting the query and an elaborate history.

After going through your history, I am of the opinion that you could be suffering from few problems.

Dizziness following prolonged standing is due to orthostatic hypotension. Prolonged standing increases the blood flow to the lower limbs thus devoiding the brain of its blood supply.

Secondly, the twitching in the eyes and noise in the ears are inter-related. This is because of lack of adequate sleep and the stress. This is another reason why you fall asleep as soon as you take some rest. Also, lack of sleep can cause dizziness.

I don't see any major problem in you. I personally feel you require adequate sleep and rest between your work.

My suggestion to you is to try the OTC medicines such as songa night or melatonin. These medicines regularises the sleep cycle and reduce your stress.

Hope I have answered your query; I'll be available for the follow up queries.
