Suggest Treatment For Streptococcal Infection

Question: Dear Sir/Madam,
I have red tongue and inside month since last 5-6 days.
This has been happened second time within 1 month.
I can taste spicy when I eat some thin hot OR not spicy food also.
What care should be taken to take care of it.

Hi and thanks for your query.

This seems to be part of bacterial infection, like streptococcal infection. Do you have sore throat too? Do you have any other symptoms?

You can try mouthwash like listerine or chlorhexidine. It will work if it really is bacterial infection. Take bland food. Alkaline food like milk is also good.

You should also see an ear, nose and throat specialist and take antibiotics after getting examined by him.
