Brief Answer:
Mild disc prolapse or vitamin deficiencies specially vitamin D.

Detailed Answer:

Hi
Thanks for your query

I'm Dr Sudhir Kumar

I have gone through your query and understand your concern. You may be having two main possiblity along with many. First is likely to be strain of back or mild disc prolapse due heavy weight lifting. It can be confirmed by MRI of lumbar spine. MRI also excludes many other causes of backache. It's treatment is rest for few weeks followed by physiotherapy.Analgesic such as ibuprofen is useful for pain relief.
Second possiblity is weakness of bones and muscles due to vitamin and trace elements deficiency. You can get your vitamin D level as it is important cause of backache and if found low you can take supplements of vitamin D3.

You can discuss with your doctor about it.

Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then I will be happy to help you.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.

Thank you Dr XXXXXXX XXXXXXX for answering my question.

I would like to clear some more doubts regarding the symptoms of having mild disc rolapse or strain of back. How acute the pain would be?

Also you had mentioned Vitamin D deficiency might also lead to backache and Vitamin, trace elements deficiency also lead to musle or bone weakness. How acute the pain would be?

Please advise

Brief Answer:
Disc prolapse pain is moderate to severe. Vitamin deficiencies dull aching.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome back
Pain of disc prolapse generally moderate to severe and aggrevated by movements and relieved by rest. muscle strain pain is mild to moderate, again aggrevated by movements and relieved by rest.,
Pain of vitamin D deficiency is dull aching always and relieved by vitamin supplements. muscle pain and weaknesses can also be due to lack of excercises and vitamin and trace elements deficiencies.
Everything else already discussed.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
