Question: Last night I noticed a soreness under my right breast where the rib cage is. It isn't a sharp pain just a soreness when I rub it and also my stomach has been rumbling and I am burping so I think it may be due to gas. I don't remember bumping myself there. What do you think it is? I had just eaten a pizza with everything on it like pepperoni, sausage, peppers and onions last night.

Brief Answer:
gall bladder

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
If you continue to have pain when you eat foods with a lot of fat in them, it may be a good idea for you to tell your doctor. It could be that you have a problem with your gallbladder that gets more irritated causing pain and indigestion when you eat a meal with a lot of fat in it. If your doctor thinks it may be your gallbladder then he or she may want to do an ultrasound to look at the gallbladder. If you have had your gallbladder removed then it may be an issue with the pancreas. It too can cause some pain and indigestion if it is not functioning properly after a fatty meal If this continues to happen see your doctor. If the pain becomes severe or if you develop fever or persistent nausea and vomiting you may need to go to Emergency for evaluation.
