Brief Answer:
Can be tonsillitis or pharyngitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM

I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely tonsillitis or pharyngitis. You can take throat lozenges , gargling with warm saline or chlorhexidine and steam inhalation with eucalyptus oil. You can also take chewable vitamin C. Take warm fluids like tea with lemon , warm chicken soup with pepper. Taking over the counter NSAID like advil (Ibuprofen) and antihistamine like chlorpheniramine or cetirizine will be helpful for swelling.

But if there is no improvement then antibiotic therapy will be required. As it is effecting your sound better to have a consultation with your GP for antibiotics. In such case in my patients I would suggest antibiotics like Co-amoxiclav.

Let me know if anything not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.
